If you open up the Internet to look at a website and you see "This Page cannot be displayed" try the following steps:

STEP ONE

• Type http://www.google.co.uk in the address at the top and press the ENTER key
• If you can see the Google website try typing a search and pressing ENTER
• If you get search results your broadband connection is working fine

If this doesn't work - try this:

STEP TWO

• Switch off the Broadband Router (box with lights on it plugged into your phone socket) - There should be a switch on the box - Lights should go off
• Now switch it on again and wait the lights to settle down (about 30 seconds)
• Close any windows for websites on your computer - now open up the Internet again and try STEP ONE

If this doesn't work - try this:

STEP THREE

• In the address bar where you normally type www. type the following; http://192.168.1.1
• You might be asked to login just click OK and look for a button that says CONNECT and click it
• Wait up to 30 seconds or so and then close the Internet browser and open it afresh and try STEP ONE again
