August 2010 - AVG have implemented a 'recommended update' you don't need

At some point you may see the following screen pop up on your computer (if you have AVG antivirus installed)

This is not a scam or virus however it will install the AVG Toolbar.

We do not normally install any toolbars as they take up valuable screen space, slows down your Internet browser and often confuses people with extra buttons and boxes to type in.

Therefore we would recommend the following action

When you see the screen above click the Exit button - this will ensure that the unnecessary toolbar is not installed and will not offer you this 'upgrade' again.
