Skype - Using your computer as a free telephone Print E-mail
SkypeSkype is a little program for making free calls over the internet to anyone else who also has Skype. It?s free and easy to download and use, and works with most computers.

From experience it works much better if you get yourself a headset and microphone.

You can even use SkypeOut to call ordinary telephones and even mobiles all over the world.  SkypeOut is not free but for most popular countries it only costs around 1.1 pence per minute!  Yes that's right you can call any ordinary telephone in all these countries on this rate:

Argentina (Buenos Aires), Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Canada (mobiles), Chile, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico (Mexico City, Monterrey), Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg), Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States (except Alaska and Hawaii), United States (mobiles) and last but not least: Vatican.

If you want to find out more or download the free programme go to www.skype.com
