How do I sort my emails in the right order?

Print

Emails in your INBOX (or indeed any other folder) can be sorted in different orders.

How can I tell what order my email is sorted in?

Sorted Ascending
Sorted Ascending
Look carefully along the top of your email list for the headings entitled From, Subject and Received.  Look very carefully inside the grey headings for a very feint triangle.  This triangle is meant to be an arrow - the example shows it is sorted ascending in the Received heading.  In other words the emails are sorted by the Received date ascending.  (Oldest at the top)

So how can I change the order?

Click on the heading you wish to sort by (and click the same heading again to change between ascending or descending)  Remember this - Whatever order you have chosen when you close Outlook Express will be the order it 'remembers' when you next open it.

p.s. If you sort by From - it is a great way to arrange all the emails from a particular contact all together.
