CMZ Machinery sell specialist metal-forming machines.  They send thousands of regular newsletters through the post.  This is expensive, time consuming and most leaflets probably end up forgotten or thrown in the bin.  The website needed a 'facelift' with the facility for new offers to be posted up directly on the website by staff at CMZ.

Not only is a content management system used to allow staff to post up offers and news onto the website, but the facility for visitors to subscribe to an emailed newsletter has been created.

A mailing list runs itself using an online database that allows people to subscribe and unsubscribe as they wish.  Staff at CMZ can write a newsletter in seconds using a template that sends a colourful html email with pictures as well as a plain text version.  Unsuccessful emails are automatically removed (and kept in a log for potential correction)  Statistics showing CMZ how many people were sent each Newsletter, how many read it, what links were clicked on are all available to help them evaluate the effectiveness of their marketing campaign.

This website also uses an attention grabbing brief Macromedia Flash movie with sound on entering the website.
